... and just hope the 10A GPO is a decent quality one and can easily handle more than it's rated current for extended periods (i.e. more than just a spike).
Cheers.
Vernon.

I think some of the motors on these chinese/taiwanise table saws might not be as powerful as they advertise. I bought a sh 10 inch contaractos saw mj-2325 with a so called 3 hp 2250w motor. It came with a 10 amp moulded plug. I bought it secondhand the owner had it pluged into various double adapters and extension leads and was operating ok. I have it plugged to a normal 10 amp socket I also have a dust extractor on as welll but I start my saw first then turn on the extractor. Never had any problems. Thanks to Kevin Rudd I have decided to upgrade my saw and last week I tried a 12 inch cabinet with a 2hp motor, I took a large peice Jarrah to see if 2hp was enough it went through know problem. So perhaps the asia motors are not as powerful as the label say.
ps the the latest mj-2325 now comes with a 15 amp plug but the motor is the same as mine.
Cheers Jerry
