Thread: 12inch Sherwood Deluxe table saw or 10inch SawStop Professional?

I am after a table saw to try and do most options. If I can also get a slide table that would be very useful. I Like the idea of scoring blade if required.
I am still a little unsure about a table saw and the difference to a panel saw. ?

I guess I am looking for a god alrounder.

I'd like to give a big shout to the SawStop safety features.

A few days ago that safety feature saved my left thumb for being badly mangled. All it took was a fraction of a second of inattention and my thumb just grazed the spinning blade. I felt that blade touch the the skin on my thumb. It actually broke the skin (no bigger than a splinter entry), no blood. The crash stop feature activated in a millisecond and the blade stopped and dropped away. I cannot praise SawStop highly enough. Well worth putting safety of your body as the highest priority.

Congratulations on saving your thumb. Couldn’t agree more. I’ve now seen three incidents on the SawStop Pro in four years. In each case the user avoided serious injury and in every case the user was familiar with the dangers of table saws.
