4 inch saw blades where from and quality too !
Good evening folks
I am in the process of looking for 4inch circular saw blades
For a new saw I have on order. It’s coming in the next month or two... hopefully.
I mainly make model boats and looked at it as a way of making my own planks
Etc. Have ordered 2 from the manufacturer to keep me going but I am looking for
someone more local , here in Australia to buy from . Any suggestions would be
of great help

4 inch saw blades where from and quality too !
Morning folks !
Thanks Joez for the quick reply
The arbour is 0.5” but it appears I can get an adaptor from the maker to fit
Non 0.5” saw blades so that does not appear to be a problem. As i am now going to a smaller saw i really want to get really good quality blades as on the full size saws but from the feed back i have had from various shops it is looked
on as a joke to them small saw = toy saw and all i get pointed at is tile cutting
blades .Dont understand how they think cutting wood with a tile saw will work
Anyhow any pointers from this forum greatly appreciated

I am pretty sure felder sell a range of good scoring blades they have an office in melbourne as well. Checkout their website http://www.felder-group-australia.com/
Ask them to send you there parts catalogue, it should list all their available blades.

Thanks Dave.
What is the brand name and where is it manufactured and from what country are you getting it from?
Is it compatible with our 240 volt system?

Dear Dave,
I saw a 4" blade on the shelf in the Tool Shop at the BigB just this afternoon. It wasn't over with the rest of the blades, but was instead in a blister-pack hanging in that section where they have some of that odd stuff - like Flexible Drill Shafts, miniature Planer Blades - that sort of thing...
I can't recall the brand, but I think it was about $22 and it looked pretty serious, with at least a dozen or more TCT teeth. It seemed to me as if it was intended to go on an Angle-Grinder, because I'm fairly sure it had a fully-round 14mm bore. At any rate, I'm certain it wasn't a Biscuit-Joiner blade, because they had them sitting beside it in the same section of the shop, with their truncated-circle bores.
Sorry I didn't pay more attention when I was looking at it, but I didn't see your thread until just now...
Best Wishes,
Batpig.

I think you will have to order blades over the 'Net - another online, US-based source is MicroMark, who have them in HSS as well as carbide.
Micro-Mark: The Small Tool Specialists
Another source would be the mob who import Proxxon tools, but their prices make Festo look cheap. www.proxxon.com.au - their on-line catalog is nearly useless, every other entry just asks you to contact them.
