Default Need access to panel/table saw for a day (Melbourne)

    Hi everyone,

    Happy new year

I've got a job coming up where I need to cut down a bunch of 2.4 x 1.2m 18mm ply sheets. In my workshop I've only got a small table saw which isn't really suitable.

Does anyone know of a workshop or anywhere in Melbourne where I could get access to a panel saw for a day? Happy to hire/pay for the access.

    Thanks,

    Steven.

I work at Dewhurst Furniture in Moorabbin. Not sure if the boss can let you use the saw because of insurance/WorkSafe, but, if not, we can cut it for you. We're closed at the moment, back at work on Jan 28 if that works.

If you know your sizes the board places can very often cut to size for you. I might have to do this too cos I have a project I need to do but Knox Woodworkers are shut till the 20th or so. Why do retired guys need xmas break? And my other friend has just moved and hasn't set everything up yet.

Track saws make cutting down 8 x 4 sheets a breeze......worth consideration?? How many sheets do you need cut?
