Advice
Hi folks, new to site and slowly gearing up to do some woodworking.
Just acquired (from family) a bench saw/bench plane (combo) and all I can identify is that it has the label "Woodmaster" and was manufactured by L Smith Pty Ltd Perth and Adelaide. The Registered Design Number is 33557. I have no idea as to its vintage.
The unit has no handbook and one of the plane table adjusters (cast) is broken (probably in transit from Perth to Wagga), so I would like to track down not only a manual but also a replacement part before I head down the "manufacture a new bit" road.
Cheers,
Pete

Can't you just weld it together? Even if it is crap cast you could bronze it. Ask in the welding forum they know what they are talking about unlike me. Photo helps.
