So I've been using the saw for a little while now and have noticed that when i clamp the fence down it pulls the back out by ~0.75mm away from the blade (measured front of blade and back of blade at full height).

If I hold the rear in place while I engage the fence lock, it holds in place. I'm yet to try adjusting the fence to be 0.75mm out of square in the hopes that it locks square. A little worried about kickback it as I'd be angling it in to the blade.

    Anyone have experience with this?

How would this compare to say the sawstop contractor fence (aluminium)? I have an opportunity to buy it for $100 (and round trip 3 hours driving).

If the SawStop fence comes with the rails grab it, that's a bargain. My experience is that you'll never get the original fence reliable enough to enable you to do any accurate work without a lot of checking and adjusting before every cut.

Thanks Aldav. I've passed this one up, but the fence is pretty subpar. A piece of 31mm europly screwed to it only helps so far.
The more reading I do, the more convinced i am that the aluminum SS CNS fence isn't much better.

I'll be saving this $100 to go towards the fence kit that timbecon sells (or call up leda and see if they've got something available)... one day... Having a new child means i don't have much money or time for now.
