Arbor / Bore size : 5/8" Vs 30mm
Hi Guys,
I'm looking at upgrading my Carbatec contractor saw with a Harvey 3HP table saw. I've noticed that they come with a choice of either 5/8" or 30mm bore.
I already own a good quality rip cut saw blade and a dado stack with 5/8" arbor. I'm wondering if there's a benefit of going with the 30mm bore option Vs 5/8". Especially with the extra horse power in the Harvey to my previous table saw.
If I go with the 30mm bore I'd have to buy new blades.
Thanks in advance,
Anatoly

Any saw doctor should be able to enlarge the bore in your existing blades. Also, if you want to buy pro/industrial grade blades you'll want to go with 30mm, it's pretty much the standard size.
