GREAT bit of kit for table saws
I recently purchased a Wixey Table Saw Fence Digital Read-out from Professional Woodworkers Supplies & mounted it to a Woodman TS222 saw (MBS300 is based on this saw) & have found it FANTASTIC
I did have to use 9mm thick spacers to give the rail mounting brackets clearance from the saw fence carriage. Other than that it was a breeze to fit & is sooo accurate!
If anyone is looking for a very accurate digital fence readout system I can highly recommennd buying the Wixey system from Professional Woodworkers Supplies!

Looks great MP, good looking saw too!
Another forumite (Spartan) commented on a problem he found with this excellent gadget, it doesn't read past 1000mm, have you found this, and if so have you found a way around it?

Cool.
psssttt!!!! There is some sawdust under the table of the saw, it isn't on the floor yet but if are not careful, it might fall on the floor.Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

MP, just re-read Spartan's thread on this and he seems to be saying that, as it is a 4 digit read out you lose decimal places after 999mm. Would that be right?

G'day MP,
can you show us some close up shots on how the system is mounted on the saw? Was it easy to fit?

Major,
I've been considering fitting two of these to my saw, one to the rip fence and the other to the cross cut fence flip stop. I'd love to be able to fit the rip fence one so that the read out would be visible from the sawyer's position, ie: spun 90deg around the vertical axis to what yours is. I'm guessing though that this wouldn't be possible as the read out is one unit with the sensor part that runs over the rail. Just wondering if you can have a close look at yours and put on your thinking cap to see a way around this.

MP, could you confirm that the decimal place is lost over 999.9mm?
So what are your impressions now that you have a little while to get used to this new gadget?
Would be interested in your findings.
BTW did you buy this instead of replacing the fence with the Carbatec TR12 fence?

G'day BS,
I reckon it's one of those purchases that hurts a little first but you soon realise that it's worth it's weight in gold. It's saved me mountains of time. I used to do close measurement cuts a little over & use the thicknesser to get final accuracy, +/- 0.1mm, now it's straight off the saw!
Yup, I've checked & the decimal point vanishes when you go over 999.9mm tis a bit of a bummer but, as 99.8% of the cuts I do using the rip fence are less than that measurement it won't worry me too much.
I'm still looking at getting the Carba-Tec fence as well. The fence I've currently got won't adjust to remove the side to side 'flop' as you adjust it left & right. (it's old & well used) On the out feed end it's about 3mm out EACH WAY from what the in feed end is. I have to make all my fence adjustments toward the blade (slide the fence more than needed & bring it back towards the blade) otherwise anything you cut is trapped between the fence & the blade!

Thanks MP, you're probably right, what's .1mm in 1000? Still seems an oversight on the part of the seppos though, but they always have been a bit(?) insular
By the sound of your tablesaw fence, your money spending days are not over yet, certainly sounds as though that fence does not make the most of your new gadget, or your very nice tablesaw for that matter.
