Blade alignment help please
I have a new cabinet saw. Not sure but is this ok so I have a digital calibrator. I Zero out at back of saw and move to front while rotating blade to point of the calibrator hits the exact same spot on blade in front. Says I am . 001000. It 10,000th of an inch off, is that ok? I have ready that 3000th of an inch is acceptable?

Well, this was posted in the woodturning group; but I imagine the admins will move this to the appropriate group.
1/10,000th of an inch isn't even measurable with most equipment so, yeah. That is more than good enough.
But, saw blades are not great references for measurement. Even if you are using the same tooth, moving the blade around its arbor can flex the saw blade. So try it and see how you go.
A worthwhile investment is a MasterGage (Products). They are not very expensive and it is a lifetime purchase. I'm sure there are competitors to this out there. I have one so it is the one I know to be good. I've used it to setup my Euro style sliding table saw as well as cabinet saws.

I thought .001 would be 1 thou. See how easy it is to work in Imperial.
