Default Uses for different saw blades.

Father in law had a big shed clean up. Among other things, these blades came my way. (see pics)

Can anyone advise on the specific or preferred uses these blades?

    Are they worth sharpening?

They all look to be steel blades
most these days are carbide tipped - stay sharper longer

    They're pretty much scrap metal.
For what it would cost to have them sharpened you could buy a decent carbide tipped blade, maybe even 2.

As for what they would have been used for; the second blade looks like a rip blade, the last one looks like a crosscut blade and the first one...never seen anything like it

First one looks like a sandstone stone cutting blade similar to a concrete type, especially with the two straight edges in the centre.

The last blade may be for cutting steel. Very fine teeth. Not for a table saw but a very low revs steel cutter? pker

The second one is the same as one that I inherited from my FIL. When helping me many years ago it was used for cutting corrugated iron but must be used in a saw with a metal body as it literally burns through the iron sending out sparks. We used a heavy B & D saw which I still have but not used for some time.
Much better and safer ways to do the same job today.

    Thanks for the replies.

I havn't been able to google anything similar to the first 2 photos (square teeth) but it kinda makes sense that it might be a brick, stone, concrete or sandstone cutter.

It's got an ATB grind on the top, steel blades aren't ground that way

im pretty sure the first blade is a ceramic / fiber sheet saw. Maybe tiles, but if my memory is correct dad had ones like that specifically for fibrolite or masonite

I'll say that the first one is a stone blade of some sort. I've got a blade like the last one = it's for plastics, arborite and so on.
