Bosch GTS 10 J - any opinions from users?
The Bosch GTS 10 J "site table saw" would seem to be ideal for my requirements: compact, light weight, dust extraction, able to be stored on it's side etc. It has been mentioned a couple of times on this forum, but not in much detail. Has anyone been using it for a while and have any comments? My use would be for ripping of timber rather than cutting panels (some old ironbark floorboards first up), and I'm also looking for dust extraction that works. There are good deals on it at the moment which include a folding stand, but some of the table saws around this price point seem to attract less than favourable comments on the internet re flimsy fences etc. Anything cast iron or larger is out of the question as I have to move it into the garage or elsewhere whenever I want to use it. All comments appreciated. Thanks, Peter

Have a look at this review, Peter, the review is a bit basic but he does mention that he built kitchen cupboard doors successfully.

G'Day Peter,
I bought a secondhand "GTS 10 XC" table saw with stand from one of the forum members about a year ago and am very pleased with it.
I have secures it to the folding stand which I added 2 wheels to at the back to move it around in the shed.
It has done all I've asked of it with ease, the fence is good & firm..
I have poor dust extraction but only used shop vacuums and not a proper dust collector...the previous owner had it connected up to a DC quite successfully.
I hope that helps even though not quite the same model..
Cheers, crowie

Just purchased one - pretty nice for the money. Everything came well aligned, fence solid and locks square and parallel to the blade. Mitre guide slightly sloppy and cut rate seems a little slow (maybe due to a cheap blade?) but very pleased overall. Looked at DeWalts which were +$200 more and couldn't see a huge difference in build quality. Bosch saw is only about $100 more than the Makita MLT100 but a lot better in my view. Makita is needlessly large, plasticky feeling and rip fence just did not feel solid or like it would lock in alignment to the blade
