Default Carbatec Professional 250mm Cabinet Saw

    Hi Guys,

I'm looking at buying the Carbatec Professional 250mm Cabinet Saw. Can anyone please share their experience with this saw and if its worth buying, or should I save up some more dollars and buy either the Laguna F3 or the new Harvey from Gregory Machinery.

    Cheers.
    Rob.

I have one, bought it 2-3 months ago, was easy to set up taking your time. Having had an earlier model I sort of knew my way around.

I am butchering it body wise simply because I am sold on the larger size dust extraction...read elsewhere. Its on sale at present too, I got mine with free delivery,

Some good info in this thread as well.

Looking to buy my 1st cabinet saw

The saw represents good value, particularly right now as it's on sale. It does have its misgivings but I think all Taiwanese saws in this price point will have similar items that could have been executed better. It seems as though the Harvey saws may have had some minor revisions when released as the Ambassador series. The Carbatec saw looks the same as when I bought fine a few years back.

I paid $2k back then. Im not sure I would spend $2500 on one though. The Harvey Ambassador looks to have disappeared from the market.

If you have the means to spend nearly $4k on a table saw without having to eat 2 minute noodles then you should really consider doing so. A table saw will be a long term purchase.

It looks as thought the Harvey Alpha series may have the slight edge on the Laguna F3. Comparison here but take with a grain of salt.
