    Default Carbatec TS-C250P Table saw

Has anyone taken advantage of the sale price on the Carbatec 10" table saw and if so how happy are you with it? I'm thinking about taking the plunge but would like to hear from some owners first.

    Thanks Peter

    Hi

I picked one up a few weeks ago as my 1st TS. Have to say Im very happy with it. Easy to put together, nice manual with clear instructions. Mine needed very little adjustment out of the box. It runs well, cuts well and is relatively quiet.

I put a 60T CMT blade in it as im mainly cutting sheet goods but I would recommend an aftermarket blade whether it be a rip or combination blade.

I put mine on a Bora mobile base and slide it out of the way when Im done.

Only thing I dont like is the blade guard. It all just felt very cumbersome and awkward using it.

Hi , I bought one of these a couple of months ago.
The saw seems to have all the power a hobbyist like me would need, I bought a rip and a combination blade from the freud industrial line.
The supplied insert plate is not flat by any stretch, the way the saw is constructed making your own seems not easily possible. Carbatec has just started selling zero clearance plates but they are $145, the other option is getting phenolic one's from the grizzly in the states.
The machine is built to the sort of tolerances one would expect of a mid range chinese made product.
Overall I'm happy with it , just don't expect Felder/SCM level of quality.

With Carbatecs current sale, what are people's opinions on just buying the saw or stretching to the bundle. Is a spare zero clearance insert, sliding table saw assembly, and mobile base worth it? More so the sliding table assembly. Would this add a lot more capability/safety to your saw or just a little?

Sliding table would be nice for sheet goods and the mobile base is user dependent. I have to have a mobile base as I only have a single car sized shed so i cant really leave the saw in the middle of the room.

I'm currently using a triton 2000 series and I'm looking to upgrade and I've been looking at this exact saw. Plan on seeing what the wait times are when I head in this week. Glad you hear they are decent. What's three fence like and is it worth getting the hi low one? Not by chance they told you how long the wait was?

I really wanted to get a saw stop but wouldn't be able to justify the cost of the 3hp cabnet saw so I would be looking at the 36 inch contractors saw which is just under 3k. But after cast iron wings, wheels, overhead dust collection and a dado break its over 4k. It's hard to justify double the price for a less powerful saw. I know the 1.75hp would be plenty for me now but I have concerns it won't always be the case. Maybe next time total tools has a 20% free voucher with your next purchase day I could justify it.

Just a heads up if anyone is looking at getting one of these saws, the shipment arrived in Brisbane today and they will be shipping them out to all the carbatecs in a week or two.

    Cheers Samo and Liam,

Ended up buying the 50 T-Glide with the slider (thought in the end it couldn't go astray) last Friday whilst they also had free delivery. Was advised delivery would be early July. Thanks for the heads up that shipment has arrived in Brisbane.
