Carbatech TS10L 1PH and Triton maxi sliding table

Hi, I am looking at buying a new table saw and have been trying to find a quality saw with a sliding table for around $2000. They are a bit thin on the ground, the only one I can find is the MJ2325D from Carbatech. While this looks like a nice saw, the $320 postage from WA to Lakes Entrance Vic is a bit much and for some reason, the the Melbourne store doesn't stock them. I was interested to read an old thread in which Carbatech's TS10L and Triton's maxi sliding table were discussed. The TS10L was said to be a lot better than the TSC10. Being a newbie I have spent a lot of time reading the forums and the TSC10 seems to be the "Holy Grail" of table saws in this price range, indeed declerations of love for this machine were frequent! I have looked on Carbtech's sites and can not find the TS10L PH1??? Are they discontinued? Are they really that much better? Is the Maxi sliding table hard to attach? Any help would be appreciated,

Don't know about the TS10L as I've got the TSC10HB which suits me very well. I attched the Triton extension table to it and this is very easy to do.

eightball, as this is basically a repeat of yesterday's question in another thread, I'll basically give the same answer!

Repeated answer:

Eightball, Carbatec must still be selling the TS10L 1PH, as I got a PM from a new forumite last night who had just bought one from Carbatec.

I agree with Spartan that a sliding table isn't absolutely necessary, but having said that I adapted my Triton Maxi Sliding Table to fit on to the TS10L, see here.

My adaptation was based on Sturdee's original idea, see here, for the TSC10HB.

It isn't a hard mod to do, but I have to say that yesterday was the first time for quite a while that I put the Triton Maxi Sliding table on my saw. Very good for some of the larger panel work.

Thanks guys, I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to navigating these forums. I checked yesterdays post and couldn't see any replies. I thought it might be because it was an old thread so I started a new thread, sorry and thanks for your help.
