Combi or seperate dilemma
Hello all, here is my dilemma...
I have sold off my old Inca woodworking equipment in order to upgrade. I did ok on the resale and this has given me play money to iinvest in some heavier duty equipment. I have a friend who has a contact in a toothpick factory that can set me up with a steady flow of flame birch which is rough sawn but needs further finishing. Unfortunately, I have a small garage so space is at a premium. This is the reason why I lashed out and bought this:
A Wadkin AGS 10 with sliding table.

Anyway, a gent I was talking to has offered me this machine:
Stenbergs KLE.jpg
Stenbergs is a well known industrial machine manufacturer in Sweden and you can't go to a serious workshop without seeing their machines. Needless to say the combination machine (a KLE) costs significantly more than the Wadkin I bought but has a planer / thicknesser, spindle moulder, saw and morticer. I want small but sturdy machines to process some semi serious amounts of lumber and if I stick with the Wadkin (which was always my dream saw), I need to hunt for an industrial quality planer/thicknesser. The KLE is 3 phase with 3 KW motors.
I did get the Wadkin for a good price so I can double or possibly triple my money on it which could fund the new machine.
Any thoughts?
Paul.
