Consensus on this
Hi all
We are looking at the purchase of a Hitachi C12LSH sliding Mitre Saw. Do we have any one here who uses this particular saw ? all the reviews are quite good with no problems reported.
I have read a thread on here regarding Sydneytools. Any one like to comment on recent activity with this company?
The saw will replace a sherwood scms which has served for about six years in a hobby capacity, Retiring due noise created when using this item, It really is a screamer.

Hitachi Slider
Thanks Zed for your reply. The Hitachi tools arrived today. C12LSH SCMS Saw, and a complimentry Hitachi DV14DCL hammer/driver drill, and a Hitachi C7MFA 180mm Saw.
These items are a gift to me from my son so I will have lots of fun with this gear. This stuff was bought from Sydneytools last Monday and arrived today.
The stuff was not picked up untill last Thursday. The reason for the purchase was to finish a house we are building (kit) and the 10 inch Sherwood that I have would not have enough accuracy to finish the internal fitout. It is six year old and can be heard a mile away.
Will post a few details when the gear has been used a bit, but out of the box it appears to be quite good with repeated accuracy on a few bits tried so far and is relatively quite.
There were no replys to my question except for Zed so I guess I will be able to answer my own question shortly.
Regards Mike

Hi Mickyg
I have the same unit and I must say its a beauty. You will not be dissapointed. It is square out of the box and digital output is accurate as well. The saw weighs, so it is not a one man job to move around. The blade is one of the better ones that comes with the unit and it gives smooth and clean cuts.
The over build finish is excellent and design allows the unit to be used in small spaces.
So I cannot fault the machine.
enjoy
