Craftsman fence lamentations
I bought an old table saw, a craftsman clone. Its a 10" Jacob cast iron dealy whatsits. After much tinkering and rejigging of the motor the old bugger was bought back to life. I just got done refurbishing the fence when upon installation the counter-level that pushes against the rail to lock it on as well as pull the rod to lock in the far end broke in three pieces.
Now I have no idea what the part is called nor where to begin looking for a replacement. I could get it fabricated but I'm worried about throwing good money after bad. If it was a $50 job I'd consider it as money is tight and new fences cost $350+ from Carbatec.
Does anyone have any advice as to where I should look for such a spare part? Or does anyone have a fence for sale that could be mounted onto a crastsman table saw?
Help! My woodworking days were about to be bright and my Ryobi Bunnings saw a thing of the past.
