    Default Crosscut blade recommendations.

I am currently building a crosscut sled for my jet proshop ts. I want to buy a dedicated crosscutting 10" blade to go with it. This will be for crosscutting both sheet materials and solid wood. I am after recommendations for a good quality blade that isn't too expensive.

I currently have a cmt 40 tooth 'fine cutoff' blade but it isnt actually that good for crosscutting or ripping (trying to be both).

Try Henry Brothers Saws, 541 Old Hawkesbury Road, Vineyard. 02 9627 5486. I've used them for years and always trust their judgement. They make and stock all types of blades for all brands of saw.

A 40 tooth blade won't be much good for ripping. You need a blade with less teeth.

I tend to use infinity saw blades, but you can only get them from the us. See here http://http://www.infinitytools.com/...products/1195/

Otherwise, I find amazon a good place to get saw blades. Shipping is generally pretty cheap. Now that the dollar has dropped though, thinks are comparatively a little more expensive.

    Good luck

Just bought a new 10" blade from Henry Bros., made in Germany, about $80. Goes through 50mm NG Rosewood like a hot knife through warm butter!
