Dado blade and arbor thread...?
Got my Frued dial-a-dado today, Oz $
My only problem is that I don't have enough 5/8th arbor thread it's not long enough
I can only dado about half the capacity before I run outta thread -
Anyone else had this problem? Can I get bushings that have less angle on them and leave more thread?
Damn shoulda researched better.
Any thoughts?____________________________________________

Sorry I can't help but in the interests of avoiding the error, what type of saw do you have? I have the standard freud 8" dado set for my TSC-10HB and can just get a 19mm dado. I had thought of a dial a dado after my recent dadoing efforts ( took ages to get a good fit on some plywood) but if the Dial a dado takes more arbor space I will stick with what I have (which is really quite good but...)
Anyway good luck and thanks for the post - good warning.

The dial'a'dado takes a little more arbor lenght, can squeeze 18.5mm out of mine on a tsc10hb.

The limit on the standard Freud SD208 is 13/16 (that's 20.6mm). I haven't put the full set on my TSC10HB but I think from reading somewhere here that it will take that width. So if you need that extra 2mm, maybe exchange the set?

Jeremy, I just looked up the spec. for your Hitachi saw and it states it takes a half inch dado. So its a case still of finding how long the spindle is on your saw.
