    Default Dado Set Arbour Notch

I have a CMT dado set that has a notch in the arbour of all the blades and chippers like is shown in the video. It seemed to me it was a registration mark but now I am not too sure and my searching has not come up with an answer. I have to drill holes in the set for drive pins that my saw has as per my other thread. Any ideas or knowledge because none of the videos I have watched even refer to it.

I've seen that little notch on many normal blades as well (Leuco put it on everything), I suspect its there for alignment during manufacturing and/or re-sharpening. FWIW, it's always at the 12 o'clock position with the 2 drive pin holes at 3 and 9
