    Default Dewalt DW 125 radial saw short circuiting

    Hi there,

    got an old dw 125 that is short circuiting. I found the bron wire that has gone bad, but I want to replace it all the way to the motor part.

    However, I don't know how to get there. Any help ?

    If the insulation has perished on one cable it's likely to have done so on the others. To be safe you should have the machine rewired (professionally)

    And given this degradation, also have the motor meggered to ensure that it is safe. (The Megger test is a method of testing making use of an insulation tester resistance meter that will help to verify the condition of electrical insulation. Insulation resistance quality of an electrical system degrades with time, environment condition i.e. temperature, humidity, moisture and dust particles)
