Dewalt table saw riving knife alignment
Just purchased a Dewalt table saw DWE7485. I also purchased a Dewalt 60 tooth blade. On fitting the new blade I find that my work piece catches on the riving knife the reason is that the new blade has 1.8mm kerf and the original blade is 2.4mm kerf . I contacted Dewalt and their answer was to remove the riving knife. I am not happy with removing this safety feature. Was wondering if anyone has had similar problems and if so how was it resolved.

Have you tried measuring the thickness of the riving knife? If wider then the blade it will always catch else it might just been an alignment issue.

you will probably just need to buy 2.4mm blades.

The other solution is to make a riving knife to suit.
