Default Double checking my table cleaning plan

At long last, after 2.5 years of waiting (I checked the date), I've finally scored myself a secondhand TSC-10HB (now known as The Mistress). It even took its first blood sacrifice as I was moving it - the hungry little minx.

I'd like to give it a good clean (not that most of it needs one) and polish, and just wanted to check my plan and options with y'all.

    Step 1: Wipe off drool.

    Step 2:
There is some light rust on one of the wings while the rest of the table is pretty much rust free. If there's no major difference between the two options below, I'll go with #1.
    - Option 1: Give the exposed iron areas a run over with mineral spirits (not turps?) with a cloth, then 0000 steel wool (still with the spirits) and a final wipe with a clean cloth.
    - Option 2: Give the exposed iron areas a run over with mineral spirits (not turps?) with a cloth, then work some Ubeaut's EEE cut and polish paste wax with another cloth and a final wipe up with clean cloths.

    Step 3:
I've done a bit of reading up here and it seems UBeaut's Traditional Wax is probably my preferred option for its longevity and Code friendly stink...but...
    - Option 1: Give it a good hard and regular Silvergliding until the 250g tin is empty as a (hopefully) rust preventative base coat then switch to the Trad Wax.
    - Option 2: Go straight into regularly using the Trad Wax.

Step 4: Regularly apply fresh coats of drool.

    Howzat grabyas?

The same regime will apply to my bandsaw table and drill press table. Both of which have been regularly flooded with WD40 while I haven't been able to use them for the last year or so.

Get yourself a nice and dry piece of silver backed foam carpet underlay and use that as a cover, works great and is moisture proof too.

Ahh yes. Forgot about using that for a cover. Thanks for reminding me.
For the time being I was just going to use a flanny sheet under a canvas top.

I'll also be leaving her some pink bunny slippers at the shed door and a hot water (oil?) bottle next to some fresh wild flowers.
