Durden ,pacemaker
hi all,i am a newbie to this forum.i live in w.a.i have just purchased a durden pacemaker in pretty sad conditiion.i have stripped it down and have derusted everything with the electrolis process.and am now repainting and reassembling all. This machine is i believe an early model with a sort of oval shaped badge.I have discovered the threaded rod that operates the up and down table to be to coroded.I suppose i could have a new one made but was thinking maybe someone out there may have some spares i may purchase.I did have a latter model wich i sold. But thats the way it goes.Merry xmas to all.

Ive just picked up an old durden pacemaker also,
It was free, at a quick look most seems to work ok. just the same thing with the table saw height adjuster.
Mine to is pretty rusty so i'll be stripping it down soon and re-building from the gorund up if required.
How much is a pace maker worth? If you dont play it, it's not an instrument!

hi bricks.boy, you sure got a bargain.mine is almost back together.it looks a treat and i hope it goes as good as it looks.new bearings, bolts, blades and hamered metal paint.i paid $350 for the machine.bearings, bolts, blade, paint etc came to about $120.thats pretty good.as for what their worth.well, there very good quality.i have seen them from $350 to $650 with attachments like thicknesser ,dowelling jig etc.what shape is the badge on yours.mine is a sort of oval.i have been told it may be one of the early models.i plan to send a photo to mr durden himself to help date it and maybe aquire some parts.anyway good luck with yours.cheers orca.

durden pacemaker
Hi all, have got the old pacemaker up and running. It is absolutely fantastic.Took a little while getting everything nice and squared/tuned up,but, well worth it.I am using it a lot now ripping decking boards for a job.I love it.Hey Bricks, hows your baby going? Have you managed to free up the table.Mine took some time to free up,but very smooth travel now.I am still chasing a manual and missing bits, but hey, thats part of the fun.Cheers to all,Orca

I do have a manual for it a bit moth eaten but OK
