Durden pacemaker saw/planer combo - fence query
Hi All. I have one of these Durden Pacemakers, works a treat, and it has (as described in the parts manual) a "Fence Back Guard". Refer circled part in attached pics. I can't for the life of me work out what this "Fence Back Guard" is used for, so any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers...

It is there to cover the buzzer cutter block when rebating and moulding

Sorry the Jointer/Planer cutter block, the cylindrical one that you plane timer with to get a straight edge. when you place the fence on the jointer for rebating or moulding you can't use the leg of mutton gaurd so it flips down to cover the exposed cutters.
