    Default Durden SP 10/600

    Hi guys,
I've just inherited an old Durden Pacemaker SP 10/600 table saw from my grandfather. It's the blue model from the 60s I'm told. It's in great condition apart from some minor rust on the top and works really well. The only problem is in my grandfathers final months of dementia, he pulled all the guards and bits off it... I've put most of them back on from pics i found on the net but I'm not sure how to set up the planer properly or change blades etc. if anyone can help or has a manual that would be fantastic! I've done a search and saw several guys here have manuals for the newer modl UP 10/600 but haven't found one for this old girl.

    Thanks in advance,
    Andrew

appears to have both the same model + a manual for it so send him an email or PM and he might scan it for you or tell you how to fix it.
Even a manual from one of the other models would give you enough of an idea of how to set it up properly.

    Hi,

I have a manual for my saw, although nether the saw or handbook have a model number, I think they are a SP10/600.
I have been meaning to scan the manual to make it available to any body that wants a copy.
So I will try scanning it this afternoon, hopefully it will be useful to those that have older Durden Pacemaker saws.

    Regards Steve.

Thanks guys. Steve I just sent you a PM. Looking at the pic in your other thread, my machine is identical.

    HiStewie,
just wondering if you can get blades to suit the spindle moulder attachment for this machine

If you have the spindle attachment, then I would assume the blades would be a standard size. Take it into a good tool supplier and see what they can suggest.
Bear in mind that the cutters today usually have a much safer locking mechanism to affix the blades in position.
