Default Extension table does not align

On my new TSC-10HB, the right hand extension table does not align with the main table. I can get it dead level at the front and in the middle, but at the rear it drops down by 0.3mm below the main table.

    Is it worth worrying about?

If not, can anyone recommend a suitable course of action? eg should I try and clamp both the main and extension at that end on an attempt to force them level?

    regards,
    Jill

    Hi Jill,

My RH wing has similar issues - I haven't measured the difference though. I ended up doing an 'average' alignment across the 3 fixing points. The difference is pretty imperceptible to the naked eye and timber still slides unimpeded over the surface.

These cast wings do not really have any give in them, which is a blessing for a rock solid work bed, but a pain for alignment when things are not perfect. I doubt that it could be easily forced into line.

If the thing really bugs you, you could take the extension table to a metal working machinist who would fine grind the part on their specialized equipment to get the whole surface area dead flat. Such an operation is not a big deal for those guys.

thanks for this TP1. It is not really bothering me, as I keep the timber pressed down on tne main table as I feed it, not the extension table. Interesting to note that machinists can easily fix the extension, but then you need to know what is the part that is not level, the main table or the extension. Probably end up taking the lot in if I was really keen.

    regards,
    Jill
