Felder K-6 Panelsaw
Can anyone help me find a manual for this Panel saw.? I bought it last year and have only set it up in my new garage this week. I need to change the blade but have no Idea of which way to rotate the centre hex nut. I dont want to damage it trying. Is the hex bolt part of the spindle? or is it tapped into it?

On my hammer machine the allen bolt screws into the abour and the "nut" you hold with the spanner is fixed by the locating pins. You hold the spanner and turn the allen key left.

As a rule, the lock nut will always undo in the same direction as the blade rotates.
This is so that the pressure against the blade as it is running keeps trying to tighten it and prevents it loosening during use.

on my KF700 , it has a large nut held by a spanner (about 40mm across) and an allen key to undo the machine screw that is threaded into the spindle.
hold the nut still and undo the machine screw as per usual (ie anti-clockwise). It might be tight, but it does undo

On my hammer I hold a 22ishmm spanner on a flanged nut with holes for the pins and undo a 10ishmm centre allenkey in the normal direction, right hand thread, which is contary to the self tightening thing, my guess is that the flanged nut allen key design eliminates/reduces the tendancy for a rh thread to undo anyone else got any thoughts
