At last Felder/Hammer publish prices. When will Gabbett?
One of the things that really bugs me are sellers who advertise or have websites (another form of advertising) and tell you all about their products but don't tell you the prices. I want to know what the RRP is - then I can start setting my standards for what I would expect to get if I were to pay that much. I hate asking the price for something and getting the pitying reaction that says "If you need to ask that, it's too expensive for you to afford...".
Hammer and Felder used to be like that. However, I got a flyer from them this week- and wonder of wonders - prices everywhere (and some of them not so outrageous that they stop me from even dreaming ).
Which brings me to SawStop - neither in the adverts in Aus Woodsmith (No 61 pp 9 and 13) nor on the website do Gabbets tell us what it costs. ISTR that Brendan (Rudigar) said before they arrived that they were likely to be about $5000. But why is the price a secret? And surely with the AUD strengthen ing the price should be going down a bit.
So Brendan - what is the RRP for the SawStop and could Gabbet please put prices on the website?Cheers
Jeremy
