There's really no comparison between the CU 300 and the Jet 10 inch TS.
I bought the Jet for one purpose alone - a dado head for doing rabbets etc.
The Jet cost me close to $1900 delivered and after almost two years of frustration with the fence, upgraded to the Biesemeyer fence at another $500 odd. Great now, but not originally.
But as I've said elsewhere the Jet is very much a toy compared to the Minimax. No splitter / riving knife / mitre slot is uneven / table not flat.
It does the job, and I use it all the time ripping. Only to be covered in shavings and dust! And it has toppled over once before - not heavy enough for my liking.
The one big advantage with the Minimax is ripping using the sliding table. Clamp the piece, then rip and you have one straight edge to thickness from. You can't do that with any table saw.

Finally got a chance to have a look at that the Minimax SC2W.

Hmm. Maybe I was spoilt by visiting Felder....
Allowing for the fact that this machine was 2nd hand (and $3K less) the sales guy said it was 'hardly used'. Dunno what it was 'hardly used' for... Rifle Practice as the target????
Somehow they'd managed to gouge the inside edge of the sliding table with the blade. And they reckoned it was just a 'spare machine in the workshop' only used when the main one was overloaded with work. More like overloaded with morons who couldn't care what damage was done to a machine perhaps??
Despite it's failings, and damage notwithstanding..... I still reckon there's a mile between it and the Felder.
Gabbets reckon the Minimax is better than the Hammer, but not the Felder. Prices would indicate this as correct, but I reckon I'd rather have the Hammer, than the Minimax.
Then again, the KF700 would still be first choice...
