    There was an excellent article a few years back in the Aust Wood Review on riving knives if I can find it people can make an informed decision. H.

    I think it's time to move the philosophical viewpoints to another thread. Most of the replies here have nothing at all to do with the original question about whether its possible to modify an existing machine.
