New Freud Glue Line rip blade arrived today
Now you have to remember that I'm coming from very low base and never really owned blades that are purposed for the job to be done let alone anything decent.
Thought I would with the arrival of the Harvey Ambassador C200 start getting some decent blades, I have been using the supplied 10" blade for lot's of things including ripping a bunch of T&G flooring so the first blade was always going to be a rip blade and I thought despite the various comments I would try a glue line rip blade from Freud.
First thing that stood out was if felt a lot heavier and the teeth were certainly meatier. Nearly 240grams heavier that the stock blade

Some of the difference is that stock OEM blade is not full kerf and at 2.66mm just wider than the supplied splitter/riving knife pair.
The saw seem to have no issues spinning the full kerf up to speed and it certainly had no issues cutting 19mm T&G hardwood.

If you look at the above image at full size it's quite clear which blade made which cut. What i couldn't feel or see except in the photo was the teeth marks on the left piece. Both of those came from the same piece of timber just cut a couple days apart.
Putting two ripped edges together it seems the blade does exactly what it says...glue line rip, ready to add glue and clamp.
I said it about jigsaw blades ..... it's all about the blades, well i'm also converted as far as the table saw goes.
I cut a lot of sheet material so i'm now pondering what the next blade should be... open to suggestions
Cheers
Phil

Sheet goods?
I've just ordered one of these - Freud LU80R010: LU80R010 | Saw Blades | Plywood/Laminate/Melamine | Ultimate Plywood & Melamine - Freud Tools
Can't speak from personal experience yet, but in all my research, and feedback from other forumites here: Melamine blade choice convinced me this was the best of a couple of options I'd found.

Freud is top quality, always has been, their spindle moulder heads are probably the best you can buy, we’ve had blade sets from them on the beam saw for years, get good life out of them.

one of very few things I’ve bought from Amazon AU and it was around $94 to my door and the package arrived in three days.
they did send the wrong blade first but to the absolute credit the return and replace process was no questions asked and fully paid for with a month to return and the replacement item received again in three days... whilst this initially soured the experience it actually has encouraged me to use them again.
cheers

Like AussiePhil, I bought from Amazon.
The Australian link, with Prime enabled/qualified, is here: Freud 10 In. 80 Tooth Ultimate Plywood and Melamine Cutting Saw Blade with 5/8 In. Arbor (LU80R010): Amazon.com.au: Home Improvement
