Default Gary Pye 10/12 table saw - buy in Sydney

Hi. After a bit of research I've pretty much decided to buy one of these table saws : GPW 10/12'' Table Saw

I believe they are a rebadge of a generic machine from Taiwan. A few companies offer them, but I cant find anywhere in Sydney.
Anyone know of someone selling them in Sydney (for reasonably close to Pyes price of $1375.

    cheers

Gary Pye will freight - cheapest option is to pick up in van/ute from freight depot as tailgate to destination is $$$. You'll need help as main box is >150 kg
Major Woodworking in Sy can drop to low $1500s, which will work out about the same.
Great value for money saw, but buy a new mitre guage for it from Amazon e.g. Incra 1000

Thanks for that, I hadnt heard of Major Woodworking before. I wonder what the pros and cons are of buying from them rather then Gary Pye? Pye's seem to have a good reputation for service, but its going to be hard to get something fixed when they are in Brisbane and I'm in Sydney.

I'm in Melbourne and bought my saw from Major Woodworking. Their service and help is excellent and I highly recommend them. It's a shame they don't have a branch in Melbourne.

They are sold under a variety of different names but in QLD GPW sells them cheapest of all. It is a very good saw, excellent quality and great to use. The fence is very good and you should be very pleased to own one.

It seems Major Woodworking will be selling them at the woodshow for $1495. Delivery to my home with tailgate loader is $70.

I am about to sell a Carbatec 10" Table Saw with the 2.7m sliding table, scribe etc. Has the 3hp motor, cast iron table and wings.
I bought this near new but have not used it myself. I am not sure of model and will look out the manual to source this but at the time I bought it they were selling for around $3,300-3,500.
    I am looking for $1500.
I am in Sydney near Manly.

Arron if you haven't already purchased yours, Trade tools direct sell both the cabinet ($1298) and the contractor version ($898) which from what I can tell is the same unit as the GPW, aside from the side tables. GPW has two cast tables, TTD have a cast router table with fence on the right and a pressed steel slider table on the left. TTD dont look to be in Sydney, but you may be able to hit them up for a freight price?
