If you have unlimited funds, are a millionaire and if money is no object then do not bother reading on. This is not for you.

Now for the rest of us. One of the primary questions that gets asked in this forum is "What table saw should I buy?" and the reason why this question is asked is that for most of us wood is our hobby. Any money we spend on machinery we have to work hard for and even then the money has many competing uses. So when we do part with the cash we want to get something which is well made and good quality, but at a better than fair price.

I have been in the market for a table saw for some months and today I took delivery of a table saw from Gary Pye. After some hours it is up and running but not yet fully adjusted. Before parting with the cash I did lots of homework. And I finally settled on the GPW saw for two reasons
1. I could not find anybody who had actually bought one who had anything bad to say about it
2. Everybody who had dealt with Gary Pye seemed impressed with him.

I have not had the saw cutting enough timber to give the final opinion but all of my initial impressions of the saw are better than positive. It is very well made. It has a solid feel to it and appears to be very good quality. The fence in particular seems rock solid.

Over the next few days I will be using it to make an out feed table for the saw and a TV unit for my daughter and by then I will have more to say. But based on my initial impressions I would strongly recommend that anybody who is thinking of buying a table saw to contact GPW and give the machine a very close inspection.

More in few days when I have turned some good timber into sawdust with it.
