Default help deciding between Hafco ST13 and SB12

    Hi,

I'm a hobbyist furniture maker and the only table saw I have ever used is a fifty year-old 12" saw of indeterminate make/model with an improvised rip fence (clamps etc) and its time to upgrade that corner of my workshop.

I'm tossing up between the ST13 and SB12. The SB12 is double the price but has greater cut depth and rip width. However, I will only spend that much money if the quality and stability of the rip fence is significantly higher than the ST13. Can anyone shed some light on the types of rip fences these two use and how they compare/differ?

    cheers,
    Chris.

    Default Sb12

    Hi,

I am also considering the Hafco SB12. Did you get any responses to your post?
