    Default Haggling on a TSC-10HB

    G'day all,

I have been given permission to upgrade my old Triton Mk3 and I am looking at the TSC-10HB. I dropped into a Carbatec shop today and was surprised that in the current climate they were not willing to move on the price of the unit at all (although did say that they could move on blades).

I was wondering whether anybody has had any luck getting them to move on price, or alternatively what extras they have managed to get thrown in.

    Cheers

    ...Hey X,
Was told the exact same line when I was inquiring about the 110L.
A week later they were on special for $800 less (TiN model).
Try another smaller retailer or wait for the Sydney WWW show.
Sorry I can't be more positive.
    Cheers

    G'day Glenn,

Thanks for the response. I might just head up to the show and see what I can do - they did say that they had some flexibility if I went for a saw, dust extractor and thicknesser - but I am sure that that would put me in the naughty corner for sure

Even more surprising when you consider that they had a HUGE price increase when the dollar fell from .95 to .62. It has since improved to .77, so their replacement cost is going to be quite a bit lower

...having just this hour returned from the Brizzy wood show...all I can say is WOW...I gotta save up some more dorras.
What I'm saying is don't be limited to carbatec, Jet have a good saw and a good show price same as the others brands, so do your homework re what you want, make a list and hit the show because you will get a bargain.
BTW...I want the Helix spiral cutters for my thicky and jointer, beautiful finish.
Only another month till the Sydney show.
    Cheers

    Glenn
