I have a C3 31 combo unit which is a very similar saw to the K3 with the comfort package on it so that’s a 2m (2050mm)slider. I enjoy moving to the sliding table style table saw from the smaller cabinet saws I’ve used previously. Very powerful 4hp motor.

A few different clamping options on the slider enable lengths of cuts I haven’t been able to do before. Build quality is good and after market sales with Hammer have been great. I made a thread of the accessories and things I’ve done to mine over in the combination machine section of the forum with photos.

    Cheers

    Hi Andrew

I’ve had the Hammer K3 Winner for around 6 or 7 years now. Mine has the 1250 slider - what is referred to in the USA as a 48x31. I do not work with ply or MDF panels, only hardwood, and so this is perfect for my needs.

At the time of purchase I was also considering a SawStop. The construction quality is much the same, but concept is so different between the two. Getting a slider is entering the Twilight World … and having done so I have no desire to return to a traditional tablesaw. Some will state that the Hammer is a hobby machine compared with the full on Felder, but this is a relative statement. I know many professional woodworkers using equipment that lies well below the Hammer, and many in the USA who love their SS quality. My experience with Hammer has been great, and I have not only the K3, but also the N4400 and A3-31. At the end of the day it is the backup service that separates the good from the bad. Felder in Perth have been superb!

Over the years I have added a number of accessories and made mods to the K3 (all on my website), and these have added another level of convenience and precision to an already terrific machine.

As mentioned, the experience of using a slider is different to a traditional tablesaw, but the K3 can also be used in the traditional manner. Win-win.

Router table in the outfeed ..

    Regards from Perth
