    Default Hammer K3 Winner Riving Knife

    Hi Guys,

    I have recently purchased a second hand k3 winner and in the process of setting it up. I am finding the riving knife a little strange and was hoping someone with a k3 might be able to assist.

    The block that the riving knife mounts to, sits pretty much in the centre of the blade (see attached photo)
    Block_View.jpg So when i installed the Riving knife, the rip fence side of the blade sits wider than the riving knife.

    However, on the sliding table side of the blade, the riving knife is to the left of the blade teeth. Its a little hard to see due to my great photographic skills but hopefully it makes sense.

    Is this safe to operate ? What do you suggest to fix it please?

    Any assistance would be much appreciated.

    You are welcome to have a look at mine if that helps, PM me if that is what you want to do. There has been a bit of discussion on the Felder forum regarding the alignment of the K3 riving knife and as usual they decided to make it a complicated fix for some reason. The riving knife support gets a lot of flack but there are simpler ways to fix it than making a completely new support with adjusting screws in it.
