Really only wanted the 30 inch Biggus but seems they will not be available until some time next year if ever, they are pretty good value at $1999.00 methinks or would be if you could get one. Seems I managed to jag the very last of the 50 inch model being delivered on or around the 28th which is why i jumped so quickly this afternoon. Amazing how a simple on line chat to test the water can all of a sudden smash the credit card as with two saw blades and delivery thrown in does add up to a bit !.

    Cheers,

A proper control station using 22mm switches (one a locking mushroom off knob) and contactors to actually do the work...
Ours is not to reason why.....only to point and giggle.

The 50" jobbie is arguably even better value than the 30". If you've got space for it all power to you.

Fortunately I do have the space but will need to do a bit of internal shuffling of various other bits and pieces to make it all work a bit more efficiently.

And do need to clarify the unit cost is $2199.00 however still think its pretty good value myself

    Hi Carl
Did you end up with the Latina or the Harvey
I’m about to go ahead with the Harvey alpha.. wondered if you did get it in the end and if you have any feedback on it (or the Laguna if you went with that one)

    Thanks

(And I’m from the central coast as well &#128522

    Hi Gsaps,
Yes I ordered the Harvey Alpha back in September and it eventually arrived yesterday - Merry Christmas to me. 😀
Still putting it together and am happy with the quality so far.
    There are a couple of minor things though;
One of the plastic caps was pushed in on the rail but managed to get it out and reshape it so that’s okay.
The holes on the plate that holds the switch don’t line up with the rail so had to slightly elongate one of the holes but only by about a mm so that’s okay now too.

One thing that really annoys me is the plug is 15 amp but the saw is supposed to be 10 amp and I don’t have a 15 amp power point. And of course the supplier closed this afternoon for Christmas and won’t be back until 4 Jan.

I could cut off the plug but am really hesitant on doing this as it will void the warranty.

An alternative would be to replace the 10 amp power point with a 15 amp power point. This shouldn’t be a risk because the saw is only 10 amp.

Once I get it up and running I’ll give some feedback.

    Cheers,
    Carl.
