Default Installing blade on new Carbatec table saw(TS-C250P)

    Hi all

This may be a silly question but just got my first table saw. It didnt come with a blade and so i bought my own. My question is about how to correctly install the blade?

On the arbor, there already was the arbor flange and arbor nut. The saw blade i have (CMT) has a hole larger than the arbor. Now i assume thats what the blade sleeve is for (which looks like a washer but fits in the blade hole whilst having an internal diameter that suits the arbor).

However, the saw also came with what i think is a spindle external splint (or thats what i assume it is based on the parts list and some process of elimination) which looks very much like the arbor flange. So another question is whats the difference between the arbor flange and the spindle external splint? And in what situations do i use which.

Hope my description is not too confusing. I do have a pic but unsure how to upload from a mobile.

    Thanks all

    Dan

    Not a silly question Dan.
The blade you have needs a 5/8 bushing to fit the Carbatec saw arbor , the blade goes on the arbor teeth facing to the front of the saw and then the large flat washer and nut ( no need to over tighten ).
One of the blades I had for the same saw had a bushing , it worked fine.

    Thanks Barra.

i have managed to upload the pic. my understanding is that the small item in the plastic bag would be the bushing. my only other question is what the difference is between the two larger flanges (the one outside of the plastic bag was already on the arbor when the saw arrived whereas the other one was just in one of the boxes. not sure if you or anyone else could shed some light on this?

The blade I had with a bushing was fitted by the place I bought it from ( Henry Bros ) it was tack welded in.
Yeah you just use one of those flanges a spare one came with the saw I had as well.
Please don't use the blade that comes in the box with saw it looked so cheaply made as to be dangerous.
