My experience is different. Earlier this year (April) I bought a Laguna SUV14 bandsaw, Laguna Patinium Series 10" tablesaw and the Jet JPT310HH combination from Gregory's. I was building my workshop at the time so they held it in storage until July without complaint and delivered all to northern NSW (~150kms away) for $365 door-to-door, into my shop. In getting this gear set-up I had a had a couple of teething problems and a broken part, none of which were related to Gregory's service. In all of my many emails and phone conversations with either Landen (sales manager) or Greg (I assume the owner) they have been incredibly helpful and prompt in sending parts out. One case in point - in setting up the Jet I'd spent some time getting the table co-planar and not used the thicknesser. When I eventually did, it did not work. I rang late on a Friday and got passed to Greg who explained the micro-switch controller assembly and talked me through how to adjust it. It took several tries and return calls, but once I'd figured out the logic, it was easy enough, but I would have struggled alone. Also, when I bought the bandsaw I also bought the large resaw fence accessory. After several attempts to use it on the standard cast-iron cylindrical guide I gave up in frustration and decided that it is really designed for the Laguna Driftmaster accessory. Anyway, I emailed Landen to rant about this, and asked if I could return it. He rang me the next morning to find out more about my issue and once I'd explained, was happy for me to return it. I find them to be a helpful and professional outfit, but no doubt are struggling with keeping up with demand. Web-sites can always be improved, but in this information age that's really a marginal issue to me.

JET JPS vs Laguna Fusion
I looked carefully at both saws and raised the issue as you said in this forum. I did get a very good reply which seems to have disappeared from the thread. Essentially the advice was:
"JET and Laguna are brand names and thus carry a fair amount of marketing & promotion cost in their pricing. Both saws are very good for hybrids but for the same money a good generic Taiwanese saw may be better value."
The Jet is solid, looks good, and has a very good fence but the trunnion is attached to the table as in a contractors saw. The Laguna is a true cabinet saw with the trunnion attached to the cabinet and thus much easier to adjust. Both priced around $1600.
I settled on a Woodman 12" 2hp left tilt with a Jet ProShop fence. Same price from Gregory Machinery, bigger saw, bigger motor. I'm putting it together today so will have some experience with it over the next few weeks.
Cheers, frank t

New Arrival!!!
I had been looking seriously at a Jet 10 table saw but none available for 3 weeks.
Then Last week the new Carbatec catalogue arrived, looking at the price increase, Wow1. $190 that's more than 0%
Back to the drawing board. I had been following this thread, so rang Gregory Machinery, John was vey helpful . 3 fusion in stock, mine arrived in Adelaide in 4 days last friday 4 days
Beautiful finish, easy to assemble and was almost perfectly set up. A minor adjustment to the fence was the only thing.
However SWAMBO made me move it out of the bedroom. Pity

I'd like to reopen this thread as I have narrowed it to three. Carbatec contractor vs Jet Proshop vs Laguna fusion.
I wanted a contractor or hybrid type saw, also I'm after a 10 amp saw as I believe these are. Carbatec's price is appealing but if add on a better fence and mobile stand etc to bring it up to par then the price is close to the other two. I've read many threads on this site and the Jet and laguna have been rated highly. The Jet has had complaints about adjusting the trunnions eg blade alignment but I have read about workarounds. Laguna threads are very positive.
So given the Laguna has been around a while now, do people rate this as the best of these 3.

I love my fusion. But not experienced enough to compare it with others. I give it [emoji818]️[emoji818]️[emoji818]️ anyway.

18 months Later Laguna fusion
After 18 months I would definitely buy another if I needed one. I have added a Wixey gauge to get repeatable cuts. The only drawback the original blade was rubbish. so add the price of at least one good blade. joint quality cuts are the norm.
good buying.

Laguna Fusion aligning blade parallel to slots
That's what I thought, Fusion is a good saw
I've ruled out the Jet when I read the manual and it mentioned turning the saw upside down to align the blade to the slots. Are you kidding me!!! Some day that alignment will need to be checked and the odd tweak done.
On that point I downloaded the Fusion manual and it made no mention of aligning the blade (parallel) to the slots. Yes to all the other adjustments. I was very surprised as this is an essential adjustment.
For those Laguna Fusion users out there, have you done that and was it easy.

Thanks for that yachtie but if you did have to adjust it and you will one day (maybe in 5 years) then how do you do it, is it easy and why is it not mentioned in the manual. The Harvey (Grizzly) and Jet manuals do describe how to make this adjustment, usually by adjusting the trunnions etc
This is a deal breaker for me. If there is no way of aligning the blade to the slots when needed then unfortunately I'll rule out the Laguna.

Love the Laguna Fusion
Buy the best you can afford. In five years time you will have forgotten the price but will be living with the choice. I love the Laguna but I am not very demanding or accurate. However, I find it a joy to work with - quiet, smooth, easy to adjust and far more accurate than I can be.
As importantly, buy a quality miter fence eg Incra and a GOOD BLADE (or blades). I lucked on to a Freud Premier Fusion thin kerf blade on eBay and it is magic (hard to get in Australia). Plus a general purpose rip blade.
Happy sawing

On a true cabinet saw, which I believe these are, the trunions are attached to the cabinet not the top.
To align the blade to the slots just loosen the bolts that hold the top on, usually one in each corner, and tap the top around till its alligned with the blade. Takes a few minutes and is easy to do.Those were the droids I was looking for.

NCArcher is right. This review shows that the Fusion is a proper table saw unlike the Proshop and Carbatec Contractor. I have the Laguna Platinum which has a bolt at each corner which once loosened allows the table top to be swivelled for alignment - couldn't be simpler. it appears from the review that the Fusion has the same method.

Stay away from the Carbatec Contractor. It is for rough jobs only
consider the Harvey
