When I aligned mine I left one bolt tight so it pivoted off it.

I looked at one today and I could only see 3 bolts holding the table. Is there a 4th. Admittedly I only had a quick look but the saw looks ideal and ticks all boxes. Coming with wheels and not having to buy a mobile base is the icing on the cake. The only problem is waiting for stock (5 weeks) and working out how to get it home (West Gippsland) as efficiently as possible. The actual setting up looks like fun, its just getting it in my garage.

It was a few months ago that I put mine together but I'm pretty sure it has 4 bolts.

Getting it to your shed is one problem. Getting it into the shed is another. The table top you can lift but the base is a 2 person job and even then it is heavy.

Hi Barri, the table top is held on with 3 bolts only and can be loosened to align blade to the table, very easy to do.

I ordered my Laguna Fusion from Gregmach in Brissy and although was a little bit more expensive, I had the table saw delivered right to the edge of my shed where it was wheeled off the back off the truck and straight in. From Brisbane to Bendigo with the tailgate service cost $310.

Woodworking warehouse quoted $240 from Braeside to Warragul but not by their own delivery people who will get it into your garage but by standard toll deliveries who wont. I found out that I can hire a van (Avis) with a tailgate lifter for the day for a bit over $100 plus petrol. 200km only then 30 odd cents a km. I would be doing just under 200km. My only problem is getting it from driveway to garage. I guess I'll ring a few mates or lower it onto easily moved pipes or something. Once in the garage and the pallet removed I'll have access to its wheel system. I know I could set it up in the driveway and then move it with its wheels but I don't wont to do that.

Incidentally did you get the 52" rails and extension table?

last time I checked Harvey were the manufacturer of the Laguna. Check the specs closely as you may save a couple of $100

Just rang them and there are a few differences. No wheels therefore we need to buy a mobile base, much heavier, motor attached to top not frame, 6" (15cm) less rail size means less ripping distance to Laguna. Their delivery with tailgate lowering and moving into my garage was only $170. That sounds very reasonable. No stock till September which is similar to Laguna (they said 5 weeks). So overall a little cheaper with a mobile stand but motor to top is a deal breaker for me. I'm sure they're very similar.

BTW I think Grizzly is the same as Harvey. I think they all come out of the same factory

Also Ryan at Major woodworking equipment Sydney said that they had a Harvey stockist in Melbourne. Any one know who? I'd a look before I make a final decision.

Not to try and change your opinion but the wheels built into the laguna fusion are hardly worth it. In my opinion i'd rather 4 adjustable feet as with the fixed wheels you can only level the saw in one direction and need to use packers to level in the other direction. Also when wheeling the saw on the built in wheels they have a lot of flex in them and one of mine bent the cabinet a little so now the whole thing has a bit of a wobble.

If you were going to be moving the saw regularly then a mobile base would be the best way to go.

I only have the standard size rail and it's heavy enough to wheel around wheel barrow style, so i can't imagine it being practical with the extension rail and table. I'm considering a base just to make it a bit more stable.

No you haven't changed my mind but that's disappointing. I wonder if all Fusion owners have had similar problems. I was hoping to avoid that cost. That does make it a fair bit dearer than the Harvey. The mind boggles as to how you're going to get the saw on a mobile stand.

I'm not sure you're talking about the Harvey or Laguna but in either case their 15 amp models and I'm only after 10 amps

I'm waiting on mine in the next container from China. Decided to cheap out, and go depot shipping only... $99 from Brisbane to Canberra!

The plan is to get four burly folk to help me lift the thing from the tray of a ute into the shed... Not really looking forward to that part of the operation.
