Default Kevin made me do it !!!

Thanks for the money Kevin, I have been look at buying a new saw for a while and I decided on the Carba-tec CTH-110L . Rang the Perth shop as the cattle dog price was $2395.00 and asked for a best price was told thats the price. Looked at a few other saws but I wanted this one. So went to the shop and noticed that they had two machines on display but the one at the back of the store had a titanium finsh on the top and was priced at $2095.00. I asked one of the saleman what was the difference between the too saws and he said only the titanium top, he then checked on the computer and said they had forgotted to change the price. So I said I take it thanks so paid my deposit and said I would pick it up in about 5 weeks as I was going away on holiday no worries. I came back from my holidays keen to get my new saw, arranged to pick the saw up the next day. I contacted Carba-tec no problems come and get it. I went in paid the balance and waited for the machine to be brought out of the store. I went back in the showroom to look at the saw and found that the saw at the front of the display which was $2395.00 had been reduced to $1899.00 for end of year tax sale. Oh horror rotten taste now in my mouth. Said to the saleman any chance on getting the discount price and he said no problem and refunded my a further $196.00 now making the saw nearly $100.00 cheaper than the 2008 catalogue. Thanks very much Carba-tec and I am enjoying my saw very much.

As you can see I have fitted a homemade riving knife and overhead guard
PS Can anybody see my gaffer tape ???

    Cheers Jerry

Hi Enfield Yes it did come with a riving knife that was attached to a guard. But the knife and guard have to be removed when you do trench cuts. I have made my own overhead guard and I have now made a riving knife the same height as the blade, so I never have to remove it.

    Cheers Jerry
