My table is flat also checked with a Veritas straight edge. The only issue I've had, which turns out to NOT be the saw, is with the blades off my old saw. They were fine on that but on the new one they wobbled. I have since aquired (today) new Freud blades with no arbor bushes, ie 5/8" hole, and they are perfect. So my advice, use blades hat don't require bushes. Like zzpanic, I set mine up perfectly as soon as it came out of the crate rather than start using it, tempting to do with a new toy but worth taking the time to setup first. This involved the usual things and was quite easy and haven't had any alignment etc issues since.
I have also added a wixey fence readout to mine for 2 reasons. 1. I found the 2 line scale alignment is accurate but I kept closing 1 eye each time to line it up and after a full day of doing that became annoying, much easier with the digital readout. 2. Being left tilt, each time you put a different kerf blade or a dado set on you gotta re-zero and move the plastic hairline sight thingy....way quicker pressing a button. So nothing wrong with the fence, just me getting lazier in proportion to getting older
Cheers

All set up and going now. I haven't installed the sliding table yet, but used my old home built sled and tenoning jig. I gave the saw a good workout tonight and it's a joy in comparison with my old contractor saw. Height adjustment was quick and reliable, the fence is a joy. There's plenty of power and it didn't bog down at all even during heavy rip cuts.
It is an order of magnitude better than my old saw and I'm a very happy chappy. I'd recommend the old adage of buying the best you can afford.

Good Choice
Good Choice Redgy. From what I understand, the Laguna bandsaws are made by Meber in Italy, whereas the Jet machines are Taiwanese made. I don't know if all Lugana brand machines are European made, but chances are the quality will be better than Jet. Our workplace have worn out a few Jet machines at work in a lot less time than you would expect, and recent purchases have been of European made machines, for there longevity and build quality, and so far, we have been very happy with their exceptional performance and ease of use (the extra outlay has been justified). Good luck with you new Laguna tablesaw.

Could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Laguna source their machines from various manufacturers before fitting their own motors and extras, not to mention Grizzly doing the same and possibly many others.

Regardless of how they are branded they are definitely on my must have list.
