Hi guys
I bought a Dewalt 744 table saw, nice little saw, but I have a huge problem with aligning blade with miter slots. Upon close inspection, I saw that blade is off by 1-2mm, in that way that the back of the blade is shifted to right from front of blade. This is where the problems begin, saw has 2 screws on the back that allows for adjustments, but when I unscrew it there is no more space to pull the motor housing to left. I also tried losing front two bolts to try to adjust front part, but that part also has no room to move it to left to align front and back. Another problem also is to access two front bolts you need to remove front panel that and knobs for lowering – raising blade and handle for tilting. Once I remove that I can’t fix blade to be 90 degrees to a table, the only way to do it is to tighten screw at the back of the saw that slides on the arch for angle adjustment and I don’t know if that is contributing to the problem. The only thing that I could think of is to file motor housing holes to make them bigger to allow for bigger movement. If any of you guys had similar problems or same model it would be awesome to share some knowledge.
