    Default Ledacraft saws

Anyone got one or know a bit about them? Are they generally good quality? Anything else to share?

    Regards

    Ralf

Ralf, when I did my "research" on tablesaws I had a look at the Leda machines in Adelaide. Nothing wrong with them, they are basically like the 2325 machines that other suppliers sell and in general they were a bit dearer.

If you do a search on Leda in this forum you will find several people that have/had them.

In my opinion you would probably be better off getting the local equivalent from Carbatec and the like, probably a bit cheaper for equivalent machines.

You'll see most of the current crop in the spreadsheet in this thread but there are a few new ones on the market, Woodfast and the like.

As big shed alluded to the Ledacraft/Carbatec/Hafco are basically identical machines (albeit different colours) so shop around and go with whoever can offer you the best deal on the saw and push them for a ripping blade or something to see how they go...they don't sell oodles of them so you'll be surprised how competitive they can be...I bought the MJ2325B from Carbatec because I screwed them down and got a good deal where Hare & Forbes weren't that keen to talk turkey...and Lefacraft weren't that accessible to me in Sydney.

    for what its worth...
