L'Invincibile Combination Machine
I was recently given not one but two 3 phase 5in1 combination machines ( I knew I had 3 phase connected for a reason!). They have a sliding table saw, 400mm thicknesser & planer, huge spindle moulder & morticing machine. They are made from solid cast and weigh over 1100KG each. They have 2 motors; one a 7hp & the other is 4hp.
What I was after is any information on how to set up and operate them. There is the equivalent of two wheelbarrows full of accessories that came with them and its hard to know how to fit it all without a manual.
I have done a google search and come up with one lousy hit on one that was being auctioned in Germany (4000 euros).
They appear to be Italian, the smaller one is an L'Invincibile (correct spelling) 1800 & the other one has L'Invincibile SCM 2000d on it. I believe that L'Invincibile was taken over by SCM some time ago. I think the 1800 & 2000 refers to the planer table length.
So, if there is anyone out there that may be able to help me it would be appreciated.

Toolman,
Gabbet Machinery is the SCM agent in Melbourne. Try the spare parts division on 1 300 650591 or 03 9763 2555. They were able to email me a manual and parts list for an older SCM panel saw.
Cheers

But how are you going to use two?

This is a very heavy, very solid machine. We have just sold one second hand and I have just completed the dubious honour of working out how to get it on the pallet so we can move it.
The one we've got (had) wasn't in as good condition as the one in your photo, and is probably a lot older and a lot less safe.
Unfortunately the one here doesn't have a manual either, so I can't help you with that, toolman. But follow Brett's advice and contact Gabbett Machinery. As the agent for SCM they will either have the manual or be able to secure a copy for you.

Toolman,
forget about the manual, what you really need is some one on one tuition. Just bring one of the machines over to my place and I'll show you how to set up, use and maintain your machine. Of course you don't want to pay for two lots of freight so you can just leave it behind when we're done.

Oh, and be sure to bring one of those barrows full of goodies with you too."If you need a machine today and don't buy it,
tomorrow you will have paid for it and not have it."

Thanks for the help
Much appreciated, I will follow up on the leads and see what I can find.
I think two of them will be handy because I will be able to leave one setup as a thicknesser and just use the other one as a table saw. I didn't pay anything for them so I don't have to justify anything to SWMBO.
I didn't mention in the original post but I also got a thumping big (never used) 3 phase radial arm saw. It is a two man lift and seems to be built to last. I am looking forward to producing some sawdust with it soon.

Hi
I noticed that you were looking for some info on the L'Invincibile saws. We have a similar problem. Did you have any luck with the manuals. We are trying to rewire the switch on a 3 phase one. Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

The original poster hasn't been back since 2006 so you might be all alone out here.
