Looking for "flat top" or "flat grind" joinery table saw blade...
Hi,
I have a Makita table saw 2704N which takes 260mm diameter blade, 30mm bore hole.
1. I am looking to buy a "flat top" or "flat grind" joinery blade, please. I would like to buy from within Australia.
2. Can I actually use a smaller blade, for example 250mm instead of 260mm, please? In which case I will lose 10mm depth of cut.
Thank you and best regards.

Best to get in touch with a specialist supplier such as Superior Saws, Henry Bros, Combined Saw etc, or manufacturer like Austsaw with your specific request.
You are probably chasing a combination Flat Top Grind (FTG) with Alternate Top Bevel (ATB) tooth geometry blade. I've looked for similar in the past to cut splines for mitered boxes, with no success. Its a small niche market segment.Mobyturns

You will only find flat top grind blades in a rip configuration, so low tooth count, usually around 24 teeth in the 250mm size. Yes you can use 250 or 254mm blades in lieu of the 260mm and you'll only lose a maximum of 5mm cut depth. These rip blades are generally available but some sellers do not provide details of the tooth grind on their website so you need to make an enquiry with them to confirm these details.
Any combination tooth grind blades that also have a flat grind tooth will not cut a flat bottomed kerf.
This blade - https://www.timbecon.com.au/torquata...lar-saw-blades - is typical of what you're looking for.
