Thread: Looking for a Table Saw

TT, do a search on here for SB 10/12. Quite a few members have them now and are very happy. A lot of saw for the price. I got mine from Gary Pye. Very happy with the saw and the service from GPW.

NCArcher It must be me, but a search using SB 10/12 turns up nothing. Is this the Hafco saw?

I got one of these a couple of years ago from Major Woodworking in Padstow

I'm happy with it, nice solid machine. I've a feeling it is a clone of one of the Jet machines

Sorry, try GPW SB10/12.
Mine is a GPW, they are also sold as a Woodman.

Thanks gents for your input. Really appreciated it, especially this time of night on Easter. I think I'll go the the SB 10H. The price is right and I'll be able to get an extra blade and mobile base as well as pay for the freight for the same base price as some of the other units.

TT, just to make sure you realize they are a 15amp motor. These are 10 amp. I have one and find it very good for the money.

I am relatively new to this forum. I stumbled across your post and was interested as I have a Toolex 10" with the sliding table that is now surplus to my needs. I bought a panel saw. I have had this saw for a few years and it has been capable for what I wanted at the time, but I was offered the panel saw and took it. I am willing to sell this saw for around the $500 mark.

I downloaded the specs. which say 240V 2250W. No mention of amperage here. I'll have to make some inquiries when they're back on Tuesday.

hey all im also looking for a real table saw in the same price range was going to go have a look at the jet. how do you find the sb10?
