Looking for a new Table Saw, budget is up to A$1800.
Hi Guys, I really need an advice. I have Makita ML-100 at the moment, it did serve the purpose, but this is the time for her to go.
I have a budget around $1800 and so far I have a 3 Table saws to choose from:
1. Woodfast TS250RS - Panel Saw 1.5HP for $1750
2. Tradetools 12" Table saw 2HP with router ext/fence/sliding table for $1598
3. Hafco Woodmaster T-254 - Table Saw 2.5HP with optional Sliding Table for around $1700
I've got 3 limitations, budget, size of the workshop, which is really little bit wider then single garage and single phase power.
I worked as a cabinet maker for a while and really got spoiled by German made expansive panel saws, so now it's hard for me
to compromise, however i think if I have lived with Makita... well, maybe I still have a chance.
Any way, has anyone have any suggestions with the saws I mentioned.
Please Help, I need it urgent, well, a few weeks timeframe...

Not from the ones you have listed, sorry, but if I had $1800 to spend it would be on the Laguna Fusion almost without question.
For a little less the Harvey HW110HB is reportedly very nice, or for a little more the Harvey HW110LGE is my pick.
In fact I have been trying to answer the same question as yours for the past 12 months and last week finally placed an order for the Harvey HW110LGE-30.
Sorry that this doesn't help with your current selection but maybe worth consideration.
FWIW, it was some stories of non-flat tops, poor alignment and fit / finish that put me off some of the offerings from Hafco and TT, although I'm sure good specimens do exist.

Thanks very much for your reply, laguna is well above my budget, harvey-hw110hb-30-tablesaw however looks OK, at least
on my laptop screen, LOL. I'll give them a call tomorrow to check if the footprint of the saw, inc. slider will fit in to my shed,
I will also need a planer/jointer and they don't come small in sizes.

why not spend a little more and get yourself a combination machine?
when I first started, I bought a MJ2325 from carbatec, I later sold this and bought a full size combination machine from Robland after 3-4 years of the MJ2325.
at the time it seemed crazy because I didnt have the workload/income to justify the purchase, but over the last 2-3 years I think it has paid itself off.
checkout machines4u.com.au, a lot of nice second hand machines there.SCM L'Invincibile si X, SCM L'Invincibile S7, SCM TI 145EP, SCM Sandya Win 630, Masterwood OMB1V, Meber 600, Delta RJ42, Nederman S750, Chicago Pneumatics CPRS10500, Ceccato CDX12

Yes, I did the research and went for the Harvey and I can't wait for it to arrive, the new shipment is in town now but waiting to get to the shop for distribution to woodies waiting with bated breath.
SBPower corrupts, absolute power means we can run a hell of alot of power tools

Sorry, for some reason I didn't notice that you were wanting a sliding / panel saw in your OP (seems obvious now)... which would put most of my suggestions over your budget. The Laguna alone is about $1800, plus about $700 for the slider IIRC. The Harvey + slider (identical slider to the Laguna) will probably be over too, but I feel like you might regret going for anything less if buying new.
Sounds like I am waiting on the same delivery batch as you... breath is bated indeed

Take a look at http://topbestprice.com/top-20-best-...ovement-tools/
For your budget and requirements, i think i would recommend the bosch 4100-09 10 inch (imho) but there are also a few other good ones such as those from ski, jet and makita

Thanks Very Much for the Idea, however I must say that we have very limited supply of table saws here in Aus. Out of thouse
that you've mentioned, I would probably go with new Bosch Model, the on e with the slider, it's retailing around $1000.00
I just don't think it will suit the purpose, after all it's a Site saw.
But thanks, anyway. I'm slowly getting towards Harvey....
